How do you Create Music?

As a used-to-be closet songwriter and someone who is currently working to get songs out of the "closet" notebook, finished, recorded, uploaded, etc., I'm curious. How do YOU create music? Do you start with Lyrics? Chords? Melody? For me I've started all three of these ways. Do you collaborate? What inspires you? Let's have a conversation here...
